What to Expect
CoolSculpting® is an innovative and new fat reduction option that delivers outstanding contouring results. To find out what to expect along your journey to a smoother and more sculpted figure, continue reading below.
Preparation
Before your personalized treatment plan is devised, you will have the opportunity to discuss your cosmetic goals during a private consultation with one of our specialists. On the day of your scheduled procedure, a gel pad is placed on the target region to serve as a barrier between the cooling device and the surface of the skin. The CoolSculpting® applicator is placed on the treatment area, at which point you will likely experience a powerfully cold feeling.
How It Feels
CoolSculpting® treatment is designed to be comfortable, relaxing, and painless. This procedure can cause a pulling or tugging sensation when the device securely attaches to the skin as well as intense cooling. Some patients experience mild tingling or soreness, but the treated area should become numb within ten minutes, and these effects should subside quickly.
The Experience
As the CoolSculpting® applicator works to freeze away unwanted fat, most patients use this time to read, check emails, and relax. Typically, one CoolSculpting® session lasts between 30 and 60 minutes, and multiple parts of the body may be addressed simultaneously. Afterward, you can return to work and all of your other daily activities without the inconvenient downtime associated with surgical fat removal.
Customized Treatment Plan
Every patient has different aesthetic objectives and requires a procedure plan that reflects their unique desires. The number of CoolSculpting® sessions you will need to reach your contouring goals will depend on the necessary extent of correction and the designated treatment zones. During your initial appointment at Contours of Hinsdale, our specialists will design a custom treatment plan to achieve the silhouette of your dreams.
