Am I a Candidate?
Pockets of subcutaneous fat that resist diet and exercise efforts can obscure the attractive contours underneath, compromising the appearance of a patient’s physique. The ideal candidates for cryolipolysis treatment with CoolSculpting® are in good overall health and struggle with unwanted, localized body fat. Men and women who seek a non-surgical approach to fat reduction may consider CoolSculpting® to achieve their desired aesthetic.
Treatment Areas
CoolSculpting® can be performed on virtually any part of the body with localized pockets of fat. This treatment is FDA-cleared for reducing stubborn fat in the following problem areas:
- Submental area (double chin)
- Abdomen
- Hips
- Flanks (love handles)
- Bra line
- Back
- Under the buttocks (banana roll)
- Inner and outer thighs
- Upper arms
The Consultation
The initial consultation is arguably the most important part of any cosmetic journey because this is the point at which all the details of the procedure are established. Having a transparent discussion at your consultation appointment can help determine your candidacy for CoolSculpting® and ensure you have the most pleasant experience possible with the least amount of side effects.
Goal Weight
Cryolipolysis is not a weight-loss solution, but it is intended to refine a patient’s contours and produce a slimmer appearance. This procedure provides the best results in patients who are within 20 to 30 pounds of their goal weight. CoolSculpting® is not meant to remove a significant portion of fat, but it can smooth problem areas and deliver precise improvement in areas where fat has accumulated.
Who May Not Qualify
CoolSculpting® is not appropriate for patients who suffer from conditions such as cryoglobulinemia, paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria, cold agglutinin disease, or other chronic illnesses. When discussing your medical history with one of our specialists, please disclose if you recently underwent surgery, struggle with an existing hernia, or have any known allergies.
